Hello,
I'm having the worst of times connecting my HTC TyTN with my laptop (Fujitsu Siemens P1510, widcomm 3.x bluetooth stack) using ActiveSync over bluetooth. On the PC, I have Nokia PC Suite 6.x installed, but it is no longer launching at startup.
I tried following the instructions (set up a bluetooth serial port, have ActiveSync listen on this port). But the problem is first: ActiveSync starts scanning ports (even though I gave it the correct one), and second: the TyTN says there is no BT device listening for ActiveSync.
In Advanced Configuration of the Widcomm software, I have
Local Services:
ActiveSync (Com 4, enabled on startup, security enabled)
Serial Port (com5, enabled on startup, security enabled)
(a bunch of additional services)
Client Applications:
Serial Port (com8, enabled on startup, security enabled)
(a bunch of additional services from my Nokia mobile)
Any suggestions?
(ActiveSync was set as exeption on my firewall by the installer; I'm using the Windows Firewall)
(I was using ActiveSync 4.1, but am downloading 4.2 now...)
Thanks!
Jörg
