I just cannot believe my ears. I have used my Qtek S200 with a SonyEricsson stereo BT headset for months with great results (some occasional drops but very seldom). Today I bought a P3600, paired the headset and guess what? A2DP output is not stereo. I couldn't be more upset!

no point to be upset.
A2DP output set to jointstereo by default. set use jointstereo to "0" in registry to get rid of this "BUG" :)

Hi, do you have any problems with SonyEricsson BT stereo headset? I mean, if you listen to music with player and there is coming a phone call. Does it change from music to phone and automaticaly back to phone?
I have bought a new SE hbh-ds970 and have a few problems with that point. Mostly I have (to listen to music again) to warmstart my P3600.
Any ideas?

I haven't tried yet with the P3600 but answering calls and resuming music used to work with the Qtek S200 and the SE HBH-DS970. I will try and let you know.
One thing I found with my old setup was that when resuming music sometimes the headset volume would be set to 0 and I had to turn up the volume.
----------
PS: I have tried a couple of times now and it seems to be working. It takes a few seconds for the music to resume but it does. I think the trick is to end the call using the headset button, not the phone button.

It looks to be a Mobile 5 feature. I found same reg key in same state pn Eten Glofiish X500. after applying change, x500 also started stereo. I am using SE stereo BT headset and it works for stereo..
May be this is disabled because it may result in bad quality on mono headsets..

I've been checkin' some things in the registry too... and i've found that "Quality" is set to '30'. Somewhere on the Hermes wiki (i think), i've read that this is only medium quality. I saw this list with diffent quality-grades, with '48' mentioned for the 'good' quality.
Does anyone know if it can harm either the headset (Jabra 620s) or the Trinity, or can i safely set it to a higher quality level ?

I stand to be corrected, but the figure of 48 seems be referring to the 'bits-per-second' of an audio stream. Based on this assumption I do not think that any damage could be done.

Hi,
I search for joinstereo in registry but no result. Would you pls post the full path in registry?
Another problem I find with my iclip, I can listen to music. But when I use phone book to dial, it just give a continuous tone. If I dial by numnbers, it works. Any similiar problem for other BT stero headset.
My mono headset has no such problem.

That's correct, should have mentioned it clearer...
It's from the key "BitPool", which is set to 30. But there's also a key called "MaxSupportedBitPool" that's also set to 30.
My actual question would be; can it do any harm if a change the "MaxSupportedBitPool"-key into 48 as well ? Cause that might just be hardware related...

It's: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings\
Here you'll find the key "UseJointStereo"; set it to 0.

Cannot really say if any damage will be done, but then what damage can be done? You could take a full backup of the device and try changing the two registry settings you mentioned. At the most perhaps no sound will be heard, in which case you can restore the device from the backup taken.
