For people who uses Flexmail...

I have tested this with Cingular and they are seeing a problem as well. They are still trying to figure it out but here is the situation.

Whenever I use flexmail for SMS messages...

Cingular to Cingular the text goes through.
Other carriers are able to send to me as well.

When I try to send a txt using Flexmail, it doesn't go anywhere. Cingular has confirmed that it's going through their server, but not being received by the other carriers. However, txt's that are sent using Flexmail to my own provider (Cingular), the text goes through without any problems.

If I don't use FLEXMAIL and use the built in SMS, it works fine despite which carrier it goes through.

Any one have any ideas what is going on?

I would check with the people at Flexmail, http://www.webis.net. They have a support forum and if you want to go the extra step you can download their latest beta from their forum thread : http://www.pocketinformant.com/Forums/index.php?showtopic=10113

I have tried already. I haven't gotten a response and I figured I'd post here as well for those who uses flexmail. I know many people use that product and was wondering (for the users) if they encounter any problems with SMS using flexmail.

I use it on Cingular but admit that I haven't sent SMS to any non-Cingular people yet.

Sickchilly:

Do me a favor and give it a try yourself. Use Flexmail's SMS. Try sending to other carriers (Verizon, Tmobile, Sprint, etc.). Any of those and see if it goes through.

If it does then there must be some setting on my end. I know Cingular wanted me to test my Sim and my phone by switching it out and sending a message from another Cingular phone. It works so it's not the sim/phone. I'm pretty sure it's flexmail but then again, it could be some setting within my phone.

Let me know...

Anyone else please see if this occurs.
