Hi XDA Gurus,
Recently when i was trying to install TomTom 5 on my O2 XDA IIi, suddenly my XDA stopped recognizing the external Memory Card. I tried with different memory card still it doesnt recognize. What could be the proble is it something to do with plugins? have i lost any plugins. Earlier i used to have Storage Card folder in my device but its no more exists. Please help me sorting this out. Do i need to format my external Memory Card.
Cheers,
Suresh

I had the same problem with storage cards and alpine. I noted that Kingston cards are easier to be recognized by alpine and Dane-elec are the hardest. Just try to remove and reinsert the card several times. It's anoying but works. after each reinsertios you can wait some time since the device lasts some time to recognize card.

Have you tried soft resetting the device?
I had that problem and after soft resetting the card can be recognized again.
I use Transcend 2GB SD.

Thanks for your comments. :( But no use mate. i have tried it 100 times. still it doesnt, it seems like there is some problem with my Set. Memory card is working fine. I dont know if anything stuck in the memory card slot and its stopping from proper connection. Or i lost the drivers. How to upgrade the software on my xda IIi. or reinstall the drivers. Please help me in fixing this problem. Its all happened when i tried to install Tomtom on the system. damn softwares.:(

Does this SD card work in a card reader. I have found that some of the cheaper SD cards dont last very long especialy if removing and replacing them alot.
Been using transcend 80x slc cards for a whiel and had no problem with them.
I use tomtom, also constantly writing video and mp3s to the cards so far they have outlasted any other make I have had.
