I cannot install it. All i have is the setup files. I think Helmi succeeded in installing this AKU 3.5. Check the other thread for pictures. Helmi is going to be releasing the AKU 3.5 ROM soon.
I dont think this will work because helmi specifies that this ROM is not for Universal. I posted a zip file in the other thread containing the pictures of the setup and it just never moves. I am stuck on the setup.

Did you download the file i posted on rapidshare and tried to install it? Its for Benq P51. Helmi succeeded in installing some AKU 3.5 ROM on the Universal. No news on how Helmi did that....

nuclear how old are you? helmi already ansered your question... he ported p51 rom to universal - he took aku part from p51 rom and pasted it into Uni rom... if you want to know how he did that use the SEARCH button... everthing is already in the forum...

I dont think helmi mentioned that. Now that you mention it lets go ahead with it. I tried it myself by moving the aku part from the p51 rom into indra's aku 3.3 ROM release. Did not work and recieved a 102 Checksum error. I will try ivan's AKU 3.2 ROM or Helmi's AKU 3.3 ROM. And if i still dont get through you must guide me. Well what i did was rename the big 63MB file in that chinese package to nk.nbf. Then i copied it into indra's ROM and replaced the nk.nbf in that folder. I ran the rom upgrade utility and recieved the 102 error. I will try again

Ok it works. Ignore my earlier posts of my Universal getting busted. Its working fine. Helmi's ROM is good. Its just the smartdialer as Helmi mentioned earlier thats not working. Everything is functional and good.

Not sure if it is related, I am using it on a laptop with sygate client firewall installed. Previously, I could sync by adding following registry key on the phone. Not sure if there are any changes on 3.5 in tcp/ip or registry structure?

Registry Sub Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEDriversUSBFunctionDriversRNDIS]
Name of the Value to add: MTU
Type : DWORD
Data: 1514 (Value is Decimal)

I'm seeign a similar issue, but I think we can rule out the laptop/desktop as I can no longer sync over wireless to our exchange server.

Looking at it this end, if you find anything post it here!

My issue may be different to yours, I can sync contacts and calendar, but not emails, I'm currently tcpdumping the email sync to see if I can find out why (I disabled all but contacts, sync'd that, then enabled calendar and sync'd then lastly emails)

In fact, I can see that it's sync'd most, if not all of the folders, must be struggling on the emails.

Ok, the issue appears to be the 2 minute timeout on the ppc, for the first sync it's being exceeded.

Does anybody know any way of increasing this?
