M$ Voice Command 1.6 UK version Tweaks

Changing the speed of Microsoft voice command
\HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Speech\Voices and on the key DefaultTTSRate (default value is 4 )
Increasing the number will increase the speed of the narration, while decreasing the number will slow it.

increase the volume , navigate to
HKCU\Control Pannel\SoundCategories\VoiceCommand1 Then change the value of AttenuationCategory from 4 to 1
Sound of the voice command will be even higher than the ringing tone.
You can also change the value of InitVol to 40.

Enjoy - UK version works great well worth it.

i was expecting if someone could please let me know some way of increasing the volume of voice command 1.6..... currently its very low

Handango gave me a link to what was supposed to be MS Voice Command 1.6 UK version and I downloaded a file called spengintl.exe. But this turns out to be for Windows Mobile Smart Phone and won't load. Handango won't change it (worst support ever by the way). Can you tell me what you file is called. Thanks

But the UK voice command has been available for well over a week via handango, I bought the upgrade for the UK version for $9.99 from the US site and had a 25% discount on top of that.

Don't forget you need to soft reset your device after making registry changes.

Using Resco Registry there is no need to soft reset to hear the differences being made to volume or speed. I find that an Attenuation of 3 is the loudest on my 02 XDA EXEC. But the InitVolume doesn't seem to have much (any) effect.
