Hey all,
ive read here now several days about updating your universal etc.
Im now quit a bit in the stuff and i wanted to upgrad my Qtek 9000 with some of these nice FWs here.
I tried Indras, helmis and another one but all dont want to start the Update.
I own an original Qtek 9000 without ANY branding, i used an official update which worked flawless 100% good!
Now any FW i choose here, gives me "Country Error" and YES i replaced the files from the directory but didnt help at all :( Also searched this forum alot but nothing could help me.
Also my IMEI isnt accepted at qteks website....
Any1 an idea? Do i need a special update?
Sorry for beeing dumb, but im just trying to get into this material :o
Greetings
--Edit--
I somehow killed my ROM and just did a hardreset and reinstalled the official upadte. worked great but still no update of these nice custom roms here :(

By replacing files, do you mean you used MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe to upgrade?
And before you use MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe, did you put your device into bootloader mode?

I am not a genies guys like mamiach and others but following procedure I do for upgrading my Universal.
>1.0 Down load your preferred ROM version and extract it on your computer. Inside extracted file you will see among others the ROM file “nk.nbf”
>1.1 Download the file: Country_ID_Error.zip and extract it to folder “Country_ID_Error”
>1.2 Copy the “nk.nbf” file from the ROM folder in to folder Country_ID_Error folder.
>1.3 Set your device in Boot loader mode with pushing button combinations “Backlight button” + “power button” + and with your styles the “reset button”
>1.3.1 Now you will observe on your device boot loader screen which is in fact almost dark screen .
>1.4 Now Connect your device to your computer
>1.5 start the installation with the file “MaUpgradeUt_noID. exe ” which is in the folder “Country_ID_Error”
>1.6 After the ROM installation is completed, hard reset your Device with button combination: power button + 1st soft key control button + 2nd soft key control button (soft key buttons are the2 xbuttons on your device keyboard with the sign of “ –“ on it)
>1.6.1 Now on your device screen you will observe the message push the button “0” for factory settings which you will follow and complete the actual hard reset.
Well you are completed the ROM upgrade and it should be everything fine. :0)

Sorry for my mistake for the paragraph 1.6 please ignore the previos 1.6 and follow the below

1st soft key control button + 2nd soft key control button + and with you styles the reset button (soft key buttons are the2 x buttons on your device keyboard with the sign of “ –“ on it)

Looks like Bulldog has beaten me to the answer.
Copy nk.nbf to Country_ID_Error directory of copy MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe to the nk.nbf directory is the same.
