my k-jam hangs

Hi,

Recently my pda(k-jam) fell from my pocket and it hanged. I did a soft reset but I get this error message "Press Send to restore factory defaults, Other keys to quit"

I tried all keys but in vain. I then did a hard reset by pressing the comm and the voice dial. (did a reset with my stylus). I still get the above error message.

Does anyone have any suggestion or idea how to reset my pda?

Y dnt u flash it with a new Rom look around the forum for the new MOSKI ROM.

Thank you for your suggestion, I will think of upgrading to molski.

But will it upgrade ? As a hard reset also doesnt seem to work and how do I get to reach the ROM if I am not able to see the other things?

I am a newbie and so would seek alot of help. Thanks in advance...

I would like to upgrade to molski but they say I might have to downgrade my rom but I must first unlock the device. There are g3 or g4 device..how do I know what device my k-jam is...g3 or g4? How do I follow up or know?

Could anybody give me the link or solve my problem? As my k-jam just wont pass that screen..I tried looking into various topics but couldnt go about the first step I should be taking...

Hi,

Please help..after hard reset, it still does not happen to load into the factory defaults... I cant flash my ROM or anything ...as it wont progress further than that screen ... "Press Send to load factory defaults, or quit"

Anyone have any suggestion?

Hold down the camera button while resetting it. If you can get it to the bootloader (three color screen), you might be able to flash it with something and possibly rescue it. It does, however, sound like you might be screwed. Things break when you drop them, including plastic phones.

Thanks but if I have to do a hard reset, I would already be holding the comm manager and the voice dial with the stylus to reset. Do I hold all the 3 buttons together while hard resetting ?

I have tried all the buttons after doing the hard reset but just doesnt get to the other screen.

Hold down the camera button, Power Button and Pin in the hole. First relese the hole, then release the power button and keep holding the Camera button dis will bring the Tri-colour screen. There'll be some info. like IPL n SPL der

If IPL n SPL are like:
IPL 2.xx.xxxx or 1.xx.xxxx
SPL 2.xx.xxx or 1.xx.xxxx then ur device is G4.

if its like:
IPL 2.xx or 1.xx
SPL 2.xx or 1.xx then ur device is G3

if its G4 you need to CID Unlock that before upgrading it.

I tried your steps but it still wouldnt work. But somehow I did the switch below the comm button and it showed me the screen to the somethign HTC innovation or like that.

I think I had to tinker with the switch below the button to get the screen working.Thanks for your help.
