Brackets with contact numbers

I think this is most likely a "microsoft outlook" issue but wonder if anyone has a patch or solution?

Everytime I add a contact brackets and dashes are automatically added...can I get rid of this feature??

There's a reg hack for that somewhere, try searching for it. It's basically related to the Regional Settings.

Cheers will do a bit of a harder search, so far I had found answers like "its an unchangable feature in Outlook" and "change the regional settings to English - Australia" (which I had already done)

The strange part is not all contacts have converted themselves to brackets and dashes....
