ok, so i just installed this program which is really great! i was playing around with the settings and i set the cpu to 260 mhz...now by setting this, is it automaticly overclocked? or do i have to do something else? and how do i check if it worked or not...

Look on the today screen. Where it says xxx MHz, the xxx is the processor speed.

right, and it said 260 as soon as i set it...but is that what it really is? because ive seen other methods of overclocking, and non are as simple as this one, so i wanted to confirm

yes that I'd the true speed of the device. if you want to make sure you can can get sktools which will also tell you the exact speed if the device. but the battery status on the today screen is right.

great little program. i just started using direct push again and because of the cpu throttling i feel like i'm not using any more battery.

has anyone been able to activate the bluetooth indicator? I read the website above, but it didn't say anything. It only said it was a feature.

well i believe the most stable high speed is 260 MhZ, but as i posted earlier, i dont know if it drains the battery more quicker or not...

I find that its pretty accurate. Like I have stated in other threads if your not using the extra power the just click on the speed and if you didnt change the intial settings it will power down to 195mhz.
I would also concur with the 260 being the most stable.

260 is the speed I have all my Wizards running with no issues (that could be attributed to OC'ing) On the homepage of BaterryStatus I noticed that the screen captures indicate that the device used is also running 260...

i wish i knew as well, especially since the latest release has the temp in F and not C

I'm running the beta version included in Faria's ROM and you can click on the temp on the Today Screen and it toggles between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
btw, the thread here is at BatteryStatus-Plugin, DeviceLock and Overclock for XDA Neo (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=270751)

This is just a theory of mine. I think that the transistors of the battery that touch the ones on the phone are connected to some type of fail safe that if it gets too hot it will shut down automatically. Just a theory.

You have to be using one of the latest versions of BatteryStatus to get the bluetooth. I'm still using Ver. 0.03.201 with Molski's 3.2 Rom which doesn't have it yet.

How does it measure/know the battery temperature? ::: Posted frm my Wizard :::
I think that the battery has an internal temperature sensor. I've read a bit about batteries, and it's not easy to detect when a battery is fully charged. One of the signs of reaching the full charge is a slight voltage increase, and another one is a temperature increase. So, by using both, you can make a more reliable detection.
My two previous mobile phones, and also my son's one (all three from Siemens) did have a sensor for the battery temperature, and there was a way to show that temperature on the display.
Also, have you noticed that the battery pack has six contacts that connect to the PDA (at least in the Prophet/S200)? They must be there for some purpose. If they just wanted to access the battery's poles, two contacts would suffice...

I uninstalled BatteryStatus v3.201 Build 0123 by deselecting it from the plugin screen, and then uninstalling it via Remove Programs, and then I tried to install the latest BatteryStatus release.. it seems to have hung at about 70%, anyone else have this problem?
...... Edited.. So, I let it sit there for about ten minutes.. then I ended all tasks, Activesync gave me shit and I forced it to end. Then all of the sudden there was a window with "Successful install" ..
