I searched forever and could not find exactly what I'm looking for here.
What I want to know is if there is a registry entry that can be made to enable button(hold) options for other buttons in the settings>buttons options.
Basicly I want to be able to hold the camera button and have Cool Camera launch and the regular camera launch on button press but i don't want to install additional software to make this happen.

If you are using a "cooked" ROM you may already have it installed. Otherwise, Start>Settings>Buttons: pick one you don't use and reassign it.

Try DoubleLauncher from Orthanc: http://orthancsoftware.com/products_doublelauncher.htm
Lets you assign press, press/hold, double press, and triple press. I think that's what you want...

I think this is what i am looking or if the only solution is 3rd party software. Thanks.
But if anyone knows how to do this without additional software that would be better. maybe some sort of registry entry that enables other options?

Wow tried double launcher and the thing wouldn't uninstall fully after the trial expired and made all my hardware buttons useless. Had to hard reset and restore.

maybe a program called ae button plus would help you? it's not free though, but it seemed to work ok, when i had tried the software in the past...

@dragonedge: You need to download the wizard version. There was some compatibility issue with wizard (don't remember what it was but its listed on nique's site as well as on xda-developers thread for pqz, i think the thread is in the universal forums..) due to which he made a separate version for the wizard..
