I have successfully run the registry edits here to remove the wireless manager icon and screen rotate icon at the bottom of the screen. My screen is now much bigger. Thank you.

I added the date and time to the task bar (I think that is what they call it, at the top of the screen, where "Start", Activesync status, GPRS connection, etc are displayed, right?) using a registry edit from this site. The only problem I am having is on the today screen that silly battery icon overwrites the date and time. How can I get rid of this battery icon (at the top of the screen)?

I have searched the sight for help on this topic and haven't found it. I'm certain someone will tell me I need to look harder and will paste a link to my answers. That's OK. I really did try to find the answer myself before posting for help.

I have done some looking around in the registry and tried to edit but access is denied. I was going to try to remove the key or change the DWORD value but I keep getting "access denied" I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Can anyone held either with access issues or with getting rid of the battery icon in the task bar?

Thank you.

What rom are you running? most newer roms don't have that DAMNED battery icon there anymore, I have a wizard, so I'm not sure the same is true for the universal. Everyone hates that thing, try this

I think that should help you, but do read the thread a bit since I can't guarantee anything, post back with results if you need more help.

Thank you masr1979.

That solves my problem perfectly. I recently broke my left wrist and can't wear a watch. I have to rely on my Universal now and it was really bugging me that I had to add the date and time to the today screen. Due to other plug-ins I'm running it didn't work out well.

There is no way I would have found that plug-in without your help. It's a shame that there isn't a better way of organizing all these ROM upgrades, apps, and plug-ins. I think it would eliminat a lot of questions ;)

Thanks again!

Well it would be really hard to organize since this forum has a lot of users, and sometimes we don't like to read too much most of the questions get asked over and over and over again, so all those topics in turn make it harder for people to find the information they are actually looking for unless they have a clue as to what they are looking for.

Your questions has been answered a few times before, but in all honesty even though I new the file I was looking for I still had some trouble finding the thread, I hear people complain that the search function here isn't the best in the world, so maybe there's some truth to that :)

Anywho, happy I could help.
