View Full Version : Bad news if you want to run Skype

Tried running Skype on the Breeze and it crashes when a call connects !! Looking around it looks like Skype for Smartphone requires ARM v5 instruction set to be implemented in the processor which the Samsung CPU in the Breeze doesn't have (v4)

Sorry but Skype works fine here, I'll quote HTC europe website:

The Skype application requires large resources and memory from the device. If other applications are running in the background and taking a large portion of the memory available for programs, Skype may not be able to start. In order to free memory for Skype close as many applications as possible from Settings > System > Memory > Running Programs.

But didn't you try to run skype on your mteor? I try to do call with skype beta 2.2 for smartphones. It doesn't work.

Yes I tried and yes it works, no problems here.
I use it when it is attached to my laptop (ActiveSync providers network connection)

I tried to install skype for pocket pc on mteor. It freezed on license reading step after starting.
