Wireless Modem - Windows Vista - Success

Hopefully this can help someine else.

I finnally managed to get the Hermes working as a 3g modem over bluetooth with Vista, funnily enough only after stopping the wireles modem app on the handset.

I took the following steps.

1) get drivers from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=279329&highlight=vista
2) partner handest with pc over bluetooth
3) setup dial up connection on pc using your providers user /pass (maxis 3g was maxis/wap)
4) Insert *99# as phone number
5) start wireless modem app, select bluetooth and insert your APN (unet for maxis)
6) start modem
7) dial connection in vista

No Luck

8) stop wireless modem app on handset
9) retry connection in vista

Success

Not sure why it worked but it does repetedly, best of luck

i got mine working quite well. no problems at all based on the steps above, the only problem i have is that the bluetooth connection speed shows as 115k and usb is 230k even though i have HSDPA.

you might have missed out one step, go to "Programs - Wireless Modem". select the bluetooth option then start it. it will work then :)
