I have to say, I think this ROM runs better than Jesterz, the profiles are remembered, and charging seems to work, it is very quick also. It still looses email account info, but if you use a third party package like Flexmail, this is not an issue, one could perfect it by clearing out the crap you dont want, and adding the cabs from jesterz like edge icon and MMS and its pretty good.

Its got some stuff in the extended rom, but you could get rid of that and put the mms/edge stuff from jesterz in the ext rom to perfect it

I just install AKU3.3-Jester-b1 successfull (2 step). After that, I softreset my O2 neo but it does't work.It stop at align screen.

How do I do?

Sorry for this newbee question, but I can't find an answer on the forum. I installed step 1 and coming from a hima it goes very fast. Now I want to install step 2, but I don't know how it starts.

OK, I managed to go 1 step further, but after starting from a dos prompt or from windows I receive a message "the system cannot find sleep4.exe"'. I stopped after 32 minutes.
Anyone with a suggestion?

Hello,

I installed Jester's Rom (AKU3.3-Jester-b1, step 1-G4 and Step 2). Installation went well.

I got some issues with sound and softkeys so i want to get back to the original ROM.

There is one problem: When i try to install the original ROM (WI_DT_NLD_2180706_106_020710_Ship.exe) i get the message ERROR [296] UPGRADE ONLY.

with Jester's Rom SPL is replaced bij SPL 1.20.0001 and i think that's the reason.

Does anybody have SPL 2.18.0001 for me?

What ROM do think? Of course I'm running Jesterz ROM ;)

But anyhow, I noticed the charging problem is still there :( Thought that changing the USB charging value could be a solution if somebody created a toggle program for it. But I've noticed that it only works if you soft reset the device. Bummer :(

dump your registry while having the issue, then softreset to get rid of it, and dump again. then compare, and find what's changed ;)

Great topic! Finaly a solution for this problem.
I did switch to .ASERG's ROM by now. But I'm not sure if the charging problem is fixed in his ROM. So I will keep an eye on the topic you've mentioned!

Was hoping there was a solution for the IR problem. The IR is working normal when I use NoviiRemote, so the IR is not completley usesless.

Hi,
I just noticed this bug on Jesterz 3.3 ( however itwas not on Aserg3.3)
and just applied ur fix.

Now without disconnecting/resetting it is charging via usb.
its working !!

everything seems to be working fine, except for the button assignments.
i cannot seem to assign any apps to the start and ok button.
No matter what i set in the Buttons control panel, it still always start and ok!
even after soft-reset!

i was on AKU2.2 but still installed the version here (step1) before the upgrade (step2),

I also hard reset before booting!

cant see how this is anything ive done, is anyone else experiencing this? Perhaps i can force them in the registry... ill give it a go

any advice?

That's also a problem with Aserg's 3.3 ROMs. So, it seems no aku 3.x ROMs can have buttons 1 and 2 mapped. Strangely, buttons 3 and 4 can be mapped, however.

It down to the drivers / registry settings

It's a pain when you get a ROM for another device and have to figure what goes where, but we are getting there...slowly..

I'm also switching from time to time. They are both realy good but I'm realy wondering who will be the first with a fix for the IR problem. Nice to see you're back again Jesterz :D

Quick Info:

- Based the pdamobiz "clean" rom but made it "cleaner"
- I'm still working on the battery and ir issues.
- It's working with SPL 2.20
- Task manager included
- Removed pdamobiz logo crap
- new midlet manager included (google maps now works !)
- MMS Patches
- GPRS/EDGE Patches
- Smartdailing Patches
- For the Dutch users, I've changed the autocorrect so it doesn't change wel into we'll ;)
- Boatload of other patches in the ext rom


It will be a 2 step upgrade, first upgrade to 2.20 and step 2 is upgrade to 3.3
and NO you can't skip a step, or it will fail !



Install steps:
PLEASE CHECK IF YOU HAVE A G3 or G4 PHONE !!!
IF YOU FLASH IT WITH THE WRONG VERSION IT WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE !!!
THIS IS A BETA RELEASE, THERE WILL BE ERRORS, PLEASE REPORT THEM HERE.

- Run Step1-G3 or Step1-G4 depending which phone you have (this will install my 2.20 release, please run through the setup and let the ext. rom auto install)

- Run Step2 (this will install AKU 3.3)

I'm new to AKU upgrade and was trying to do some upgrading to my Dopod818Pro last night. Originally, my Dopod comes with the following specs:

IPL 2.15.0001
SPL 2.15.0001
GSM 02.19.21
OS 2.15.13.27

I learn that this is G4 model (not G3), therefore i download AKU 2.20 G4 Step1. After hard-reset (automatically), then i tried Step2 which will upgrade from AKU2.20 to AKU3.30 at Command Prompt based (not windows application based). Up to a certain level, the upgrading 'seems' stop and i had double check the connection between my PC and Dopod, there are no data trasferring. Then, i unplug the USB cable and hard-reset dopod. From then, my Dopod hang at the spec flashing screen, black background screen with HTC Smart Mobility logo and spec as below:

IPC: 2.15.0001
SPL: 2.20.0001
GSM: 02.47.21
OS: 3.0.0.0

I have been hard-reset and factory reset for n-times, but it remains/hang at the flashing screen. I think, i unplug the cable in the middle of upgrading!

Does any expert can guide me how to resolve this?

PS: Due to not in TODAY screen, PC and Dopod USB connection can't established and i can not downgrade or upgrade to others AKU.

You shouldn't unplug the cable during upgrading, it will take time before it finish upgrade.

hello there. i got a qtek s200 upgraded to the pdamobiz 3.3 aku, posted in this site. even before tried all ways possible, i cant send or receive mms and i cant put MMS folder even with cabs in this forum too. so, i want to upgrade to this room that i guess is a good choice. my device has now the following specs:
ipl 2.09
spl 2.09.0000
gsm 02.07.20
os 3000

Can i upgrade to this room? first downgrade and then use step one to g3 models to upgrade this room, right? will it fix my mms problem? thanks in advance.
