Greetings to all friends on this site...I have a realy serious question...Prophet is my best phone I've ever had but with one mistake-it's too quiet when ringing...My cousin wich lives in Germany told me that he saw a program wich boosts ring volume...When I asked him if he could send me that program,he told me he doesn't have it yet...So if anyone can tell me something more about that program I would be graetfull...
PS:when I asked him how that is possible he told me that that program actualy can boost sound, but he have no idea how that is possible,he only saw it on friends O2 Xda...Thanks for any answers and wish you pleasent evening!

heloo!
I've never heard of that program i'm afraid! but.. if you have an mp3 ringtone, transfer it to your pc
open it in an audio editor and normalize it to 0db! you can get it louder again by compressing it.
if you need further instructions I'm happy to walk you through!
Good luck!

Its easy to do,
first need to make a hole in the blackcap ( to fit the speaker ).
second need to wire the wires from the second speaker on de same place as speaker one ( be creative ) but remember this wil void your warranty for speakers have a look @ ebay i just order 2 new one's en thursday i finally get my prophet back with a new motherboard god i love warranty :D

This enhances sound. I don't know if it increases sound priority or it is just some gain issue.

Use registry editor and go to :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Rin g
and change the initvol value from whatever it is to 5 as show below.
It will work for sure.
InitVol=dword:5
You are welcome;)
P.S This is for ringtone volume to raise not for the 2 speakers thing...

I found it more easier to just push the volume button up. You know the slider on the left side of the phone?
When you have a button that does that for you why go to the registry and mess with that same values?

My dear friend rfsimoes,
it's bad when someone doesn't know much about something,
but its even worse when he thinks that he does.
All the best ;)

Really hate to tell you guys this but, whatever amplifier is in the phone is all you can get. Amplifiers work via a ratio. So say for this one, if reach maximum 2 watts by putting in .2 miliwatts. So the ratio is 2/.0002. You can do the math. So if .2 mW is the maximum input anything hight will just distort.
The only way to increase the output is by using a more efficient speaker or using a better amplifier. Software cannot do what you want.

If it's software (and not hardware) limited, of course a software change will do the trick.

Jeff, you are right about the amplifier, but you are wrong when you say that it "..is all you can get". There is such a thing as a software gain, and it does make your mobile ring louder. Bear with me:-
A typical sound pattern usually has louder and quiter parts. When still a digital signal, this sound pattern can be digitally 'amplified'. The loud parts cannot get louder, so they distort slightly. The quieter parts however do get digitally amplified to a louder level. Overall, there is more power in the sound because the quiter parts have been boosted. This comes at the expense of sound quality however, because the loud parts get 'clipped' or distorted. It's a tradeoff.

I'm not really sure if the 'two speaker' solution provides any improvement. The amplifier will probably drive the same amount of power regardless of how many speakers you connect to it. If anything, the power is shared between two speakers. Then again, connecting 2 speakers will change the impedance seen by the amplifier, so I'm not really sure.
Can anyone who has tried it report his findings?

are there any 'more efficient speaker' or 'better amplifier' available for sale?
will somebody who has tried the two speaker method tell us the result?
thanks a lot.

Can you tell me, please, where did you get this patch from?
It looks like I have to make my own modifications to wavedev.dll file but I amn't sure how to replace default audio driver with my own without device certificate.

if you have itunes play your ringtone in it
right click on it and select get info
click the options tab and move the slider to the desired volume
click ok at bottom when finished.
if you have you settings setup to save any mp3 played in the itunes folder then it will be there.
also make sure you put an artist name on the file in itune so it will be easy to find in windows explorer
if hel pis needed let me know

I dont think dual speaker with the same main system can give you any better in terms of quality. You wont enjoy stereo defination instead stuck at mono. Software solution? yes but not much helping. We know people been hacking this type of thing since the oldest wireless phone long time before.... what they do is look for a better quality speaker which is a hardware with competible voltage.... The only problem here is, is there any better speaker for prophet?
For the time being, all can we do is encoding the particular mp3 files to either loudness with loss of quality or leave it at low bitrates..... So far, 128kbps is working just fine on my prophet... but my flame can take 320kbps without lack of quality... Yet, i am not impressed....

Install and go to settings>system>WOW HD settings. enable it and choose headphone setting. tune it as you like. put everything max almost double the speaker sound output!!
Hope this helps.
