Hi,

I have the Vario II and I would like to upgrade my radio to 1.20 and I've been reading the wiki and various posts here to learn about it. I followed the instructions to check my bootloader version (side OK + Power then pressed Yes onscreen). That worked and I see that have v1.04 - great. The instruction said use stylus to load windows normally but nothing on the bootloader (3 colour) screen or any buttons did anything so I took the battery off and on again.

WM5 boots fine but now but I cannot get into the bootloader again to do pof's SuperCID or the radio 1.20 upgrade. It just turns off when I do a side OK + Power + press Yes.

can anyone help?

D'oh, my bad. I thought "press reset with stylus" meant press Yes... I didn't realise the recessed reset button existed until now! Had it said "push in" rather than press I might have been quicker off the mark. Oops.

All sorted now.

Slight problem.

Some text messages are not being received now. Anyone else experienced similar problem?

You are in the wrong forum for the alpine.

Suggest you read the Alpine Wiki (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Alpine) and then the HTC Alpine Forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=249)
