on the crossbow version there is an encryption program, also my dell x51v as one but im not software minded to extract it

What a funny guy you are!

Try to use google and search for some programs that can encrypt your data -
btw; I saw a page with description of these programs together with their weakness - all of them wasn't secured enought...
