G4 Wizard dead

In my haste, i flashed with a g3 rom, i think :(


RUU_Qtek_9100_AKU2_21878_024711_ESN_G4 had worked but was in spanish...

CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe killed it.

after flashing the splash screen would appear and stay there. after i removed batterries and placed them in, the wizard does not power up any more!

help!!!!!

Are you sure it was a G4? If it was I think it's dead (you tried flashing a G3 rom). If not.... try getting into bootloader mode and flash again (keep the wallcharger in and try turning on every hour).

Yes... you can send it for repair. Thought they change the mother board.

cool... btw, i have a dutch mda from t-mobile NL. how did you CID unlock yours? i thought a G4 cant be unlocked...


also, i have SIM unlocked my wiz, will they tell me that my warranty has lapsed?

I did pay and unlock through imei-check. This is the only way atm to unlock a G4!

When you send your phone back I wouldn't tell them what you did. Many ppl did get it repaired under warrenty.

looked at imei-check. they dont mention if the MDA is CID unlocked.

Also, is it true, that if my MDA was CID unlocked, flashing with the wrong ROM would not have killed it ?

With a G4, you always have to flash a specific G4 rom (rom without IPL/SPL). Even if you got a CID-unlocked G4.

Flashing the IPL/SPL is what bricks the G4.

CID-unlocking is to load an OS that isn't from your provider.
