What does "There are no data sessions active..." mean?

Hi,
When I click on the G in the top taskbar on my Orbit, I get a dialog box appearing with a CONNECTIVITY message.

It reads...
"There are no data sessions active. Programs connect automatically as needed... ".. etc

What does that mean please?

Older iterations of WM phones could be connected to gprs by tapping the icon.
The message you are seeing means just what it says - the phone will connect to gprs when an application requests the connection.
