Hi!

I've got an Italian p3600 no brand: everytime I try to do a backup (with spb backup or sprite backup) it fails because the program can't read the "btdisk.tmp" file.
Anyone with this problem?

Thanks

io ho spb backup e funziona perfettamente...................quindi non dovrebbe essere un problema del programma

I have the same problem on my P3600 no brand with Italian ROM. The problem occured after several software installation. I'm investigation about the incriminate software.

I add that the file can't be deleted (with resco explorer you can move it to the basket but you can't empty it  ) and it can't be exported to the PC.

There is also a btdisk.dll file that can't be moved because it's written in the ROM:

Can you actually confirm that a Backup does not restore to device (restore will fail) ? Or do you mean just the error message ?
I've had it too, but IMHO it means that the Backup-app just couldn't read from the (virtual) Bluetooth-disk that the MS BT stack has added... That's what btdisk might mean, right ?
Or am i completely off here....? :)

You could be right!
I don't know if the backup could restore to device or not, I didn't try...I should take the courage:D
I'm scared by the error...

However I don't understand why on tytn, jasjar and co the problem doesn't take place... Maybe the reason is that I connect to the activesync by BT.

Problem solved, your answer help me to found the solution.
Setting, Connections, Bluetooth, FTP, uncheck "Abilita Bluetooth Explorer".

Soft reset and delete the "btdisk.tmp" file. Now you are able to perform backup with SPB Backup

I can still perform a backup with Spb BackUp and all seems ok. It just does not include that temp file in the backup which is fine.
