WiFi problems! (will not turn on in any ROM?!?!?)

Update on my WiFi problems:

I have now installed windows mobile 2003SE, anmd when I turn on WiFi the yellow light flashes, indicating it is on, however windows mobile doesn't display the wifi icon, or search for networks. The "eggtimer" icon comes up for a few seconds, and I am then taken back to the today screen.

I can't believe it is a hardware problem, as the light is flashing.

Any ideas?

come on guys, what do I need to do to make it work?

Is it a repair I need? Can you reccomend a company to do this cheaply? (I am only a poor student)

hmm, i know some ppl has problem with wifi but try this.

flash your BA with helmi vanilla version (with no extrom) and try to turn on wifi then.

if it's still not on, time to get it repair.

Could you recommend a good (cheap, reliable) site to get it repaired at?

EDIT: Was this caused by using wm5? If it was, I'd rather not try using it again! Not worth the risk!
