Hey! I lost my m600 (prophet) the other day and my insurance company are insisting on giving me a hermes in replacemnt. On the face of it, it seems like a pretty damn good deal, and i'm sure some of you are thinking "are you crazy for even questioning it?".

Anyway, i would really like som opinions on the tytn's performance.

Cheers!

I sold the M600 and bought a VarioII because wanted to try the keyboard. I do quite alot of emails so the keyboard is fantastic! The phone is quicker. With Tmob data plan and 3G its great.

Downside. Quite a bit thicker than the M600. The battery life is shockingly bad in comparison to the M600. The only way i found to get at least get 2 days worth of usage is to force a GPRS connection rather than 3G. But then Ive lost the 3G advantage. Video calling for me a waste of time. WM5 on the Hermes has many more bugs than the M600. The M600 hardly ever crashed, but the Hermes does once a week. Tomtom 6 doesn't work on Hermes without freezing, but works fine on the M600. Video playback is an issue for Hermes due to the ATI video chip, no problems with the M600. I can go on and on. The bottom line is the M600 has a more stable operating system and works with more software than the Hermes. if you use the overclocker on the M600 then in my option its a better phone. Unless you need the keyboard!

But why they are offering a phone with higher street price? TIMEO DANOS ET DONA FERENTES, was my mother lesson, have you studied troy story (trojan horse comes from that story)?
May be that phone isn't so requested and why a phone with this great hardware isn't requested?

Lot of stupids... or lot of problems?

My TyTN experience: nice toy to play, hard to put your business on It!
You NEED also to know the serial number, because below HTC638xxxx you will face (odds=50-60% in a poll here) the screen alignment (SA) issue and HTC service....., just search here

The screen alignment problem can be easily fixed. The solution is somewhere in here... But it's just a matter of slinding a credit card type of plastic all around and between the screen and bezel. I fixed mine this way.

However, the TyTN and the Prophet are not too diferent in speed under normal circumstances and except when using Skype where the Prophet lacks a bit.

You can see a "real-life" speed comparisson here (it's in spanish but you will be able to make sense of it): http://www.poderpda.tv/episodio/48

In the end, I ended up liking the TyTN more than the Prophet becasue of Skype performance and the Keyboard it's just fantastic.

Cheers!

Are u kidding? of course not, Tytn is awesome :)
If you don't like tytn, trinity(P3600) is a good choice, it's a tytn withous keyboard.
Eten has screen alignment problems 2.
Just go to eten-users forum and check the bugs.

Eten no thanks :x
