I'm looking to update my UK T-Mobile SDA II Rom to the QTek 8200 ROM, which I am aware is supposed to be more stable, and crash less (which I find very annoying about the existing T-Mobile Rom).

I cannot find the rom though, and can't download it from the QTek site without the actual QTek phone. Anyone have a copy?

Another question - I've downloaded the rom update but before installing it I thought I'd read up a bit and try not to brick my phone. Anyway on to the question, I have searched the spec of the qtek 8200 and it says it has a Texas Instruments OMAP850 195 MHz processor but in the about section on my device it says that mine is a 750 processor - will the rom update still work and not turn my phone into a paperweight?

Thanks in advance

Pete

Questions continue - The rom update utility isn't working on my vista home edition pc, it puts the phone into the tri-colour screen (bootloader?) then stops running. Starting the update utility again does the same thing (stops running). I've extracted the .nbh file with winrar - is there a way to run the rom update from the sd card using this image file?

Thanks again.

try this
disable USB conection in Active Sync, go to bootloader (camera button and then connect cable with phone and pres Y) run MTTY then write:

info 2
format BINFS

next eneble usb connection, and try install them again. if it still doesn't work, back to original T-Mobile rom or just change old wm2003 to wm6
