Complete Idiot Need WM 5 Network Help

I have my CHT9000 for months. Despite reading through posting regarding how to setup network, I am still lost. Is there an guide somewhere for dummies?

For example:
1. How does one setup GPRS to access internet via the phone carrier?
2. However, each time my neighbor's wifi is within range, it tries to connect. How to get it to only connect to mine instead of connecting, flirting around anywhere?

(1) Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connections -> Add a new modem connection -> Select a modem -> Cellular Line (GPRS). For settings and stuff, you need to google for it for your local telco.

(2) When you have your WiFi on, Start ->Settings ->Connections -> Network Cards
(under 'Wireless'), you should see the available networks. Click and hold, and select Remove Settings. It should not connect automatically next time.
