Guys, I advise caution when doing this stuff.

Crossbow is an unreleased rom, and experienced guys have bricked devices installing it. I advise that those of a weak disposition or pregnant don't attempt this until there's further confirmation from the foolhardy.

when is crossbow release date?
now i see it can be installed on almost every wm5 device. i believe that it just needs some minor tweaks and bugfixes to make it widely available.
well i hope some smart guy will fix it out.

You are wrong.
It's just that the prophet and the wizard are 99% compatible (99% same pcb)
We are lucky that a wizard rom has leaked out!

I found this site yesterday (via google), but all the posts related to WM6/Crossbow had the link already removed so I'm glad you have it :) Oh - I don't understand the language they speak there... so maybe you can bring some light into it?

No - I just downloaded it and uploaded it to a faster site. As it is in chinese, I'm not sure yet if I'm gonna test it or not...

I tried the rom. I dont think its for prophet.
the phone start with landscape. the screen calibration is wrong. I need to install pocketcontoller to get into the menu to schane the screen calibration to good.
sim unlock is gone. I dont understand, but the phone ask again the unlock code.
and its chinesee of course.

for copyright reasons, this is only a style I made do let it look different... and the pictures are not on your server so i hope thats alright otherwise i'll delete it

alright here is what i did to get it working on a cid locked g4 htc prophet (vpa compact s german)

used the crossbow rom mentioned before here

my rom before was a o2 2.20 rom which i got from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289205 the second post second link...

I had that installed then I did a hard reset, and didn't go further than align screen (stay in guest mode)

then i extracted the downloaded crossbow package and change nothing but used the ugrade.bat
klick on yes for all the question it asks extended rom and stuff

wait wait you stay over all that time in align screen and don't touch your phone...

ignore all that stuff that it says its wm 5.0 and 2.20 and stuff ;)

hate it that it takes so long^^ (I'm actually writing this before it even finished its just gonna work :P) and its the copy file to ffs in the crossbow compatibility thread theres another guy who did that with a cid locked g4 phone and it worked for him so it seems working on more than one lucky phone^^

weirdly enough it is kind of in a half chinese half english some things are in english (very few though) calling is working...
active sync seems not working he tries to get connected though so he realises that theres something (he=my laptop^^)

so thats for now except for the guest mode thing everything is pretty obvious^^

splashscreen didn't change by the way the absolute first thing and when you take out the sd card it switches to the other mode instead of landscape mode forgot the name and i got some things like programmnames in german with a german language pack vor wm5

if you click on the middle of the keyboard buttons of the three on the down right signs you get to a qwerty keyboard

And did you try to downgrage yet? I"ve heard smth about a radio lock- Is it true? And there is a wwe version already smwhere in the net ;)

yeah i tried to flash the wizard wwe rom with the flash utility i had from the german downgrade rom. It flashed 100 percent but got stuck in bootloader mode. Then I just flashed the 2.2 o2 german rom back and everything still works fine. So im back on 2.2 now and wm5.0
