Hello!

One simple question. How to send files from BA with BlueTooth to another device? Really confusing. Can someone bring back that cool BT Manager from WM 2003SE? I'm am running Helmis Lastest rom.

Thx

Hi,
try this:

To receive files
----------------
En/Disable receiving of files over BlueTooth/IrDA
If you want to prevent receiving files over BlueTooth or IrDA, you can set the following value:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Obex\IsEnabled = 0 (DWORD decimal)
And to (re-)enable:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Obex\IsEnabled = 1 (DWORD decimal)

To send files:
--------------
you must use Resco Explorer 2005 (or similar).

I had tried all and it functions very good. I've installed the last helmi's rom with MS BT driver.

I hope to help you....

hello soul_train,
what you should do is,
1.make sure you on the bluetooth-the other device
2.on the bluetooth in comm manager
3.at the file selected (you want to send)just beam the file,it will automatically find the infra red device first then go to bluetooth
4.if you want to recieve file just on your bluetooth only
5.if above doesn`t work then you have to pair first both device

hope can help

Thank you for your reply. Problem is... I know that u need a good explorer to send, so I have Resco Explorer 2005 and when I click and hold on the file I want to send I get E-Mail Recipient, InfraRed Recipient.
And some other futures... I successfully receive files, but I simply cant find a way to send. Does anyone know where to find BlueTooth manager? To get that services like browse on device etc...

1. Pair Devices
2. File Explorer -> press & hold on file -> Beam

Hi,
Try to following step. Go through step by step and let me know if it work:

1. Make sure the BT on both your PPC and the PPC that you want to send the file to is switch ON.
2. Start File Explorer
3. Browse to the file u want to send
4. TAP and HOLD the file u want to send
5. Select "Beam File"
6. U will come to a screen that say "To beam, select a device"
7. Now wait... Allow you device to search for receiver. You will see the name of the other PPC that u want to send in about 10secs.
8. Now tap on "Send" on the right of name of the device u want to send to
9. It should show "Sending" and the other PPC that u want to send the file to will prompt to accept the file

Hope this help :) Cheers!

just don't forget to make your device visible to other devices (bt settings, just under "turn on bluetooth")...
