request.. periodic minute checker for prepaid

a program that could dial #whatever to check minutes left, read the incoming msg for minutes left and display on today screen :P

There's a FREE app called Smaato Cost that does pretty much what you're wanting. Although it doesn't "dial" a number to check the minutes you have left, it keeps track of your minutes used/remaining right on the device.
It takes some time to set it up initially, but once it's set up it's extremely accurate in keeping track of your voice minutes, text messages, and data useage -- GPRS, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.
Wouldn't hurt to try it and see what you think. . .
