I'm not sure, but is it possible that the use of wifi is consuming a lot of power from battery.

I used wifi for about 5 minutes and the batterylevel lost 8 percent.

signal holding performance v.s. stock.
battery usage v.s. stock.
changed for inter/op for 3rd party or upcoming release software.

Or is it just a x.x.x.x bigger number then stock? :D

I don't mean to be a smart ass but I did read through the thread and there was a posts mentioning possible issues with G3 devices. Plus the majority of the downloaders/posters are G4 device users...

But remember: there are several bugs with this new radiostack depending on your OS-version. (concerning GPRS, WIFI and SMS)

Well,
Tested features:--

1)Working fine as a whole.

2)Much improved signal strength in deep interior areas.
that is what i want. But a slight more power consumption of
battery in case of signal lost/searching. Better prformence compared to
2.47.21

3)GPRS, WiFi,SMS, Bluetooth and IR all works perfect.

4)Sound quality OK, no call drops.

Are you using the 2.15-O2-ROM?
I would bet any money that you will have problems with GPRS. After I flashed the new radiostack everythinks seemed to be good, but the day after it shows me it's true face ;) -> could not connect to GPRS, had to do a softreset.

just upgraded contract with Orange, they gave me new SIM & I can't send /receive messages (can call ok)
tried new sim in sisters phone and its ok. tried her sim in my jamin & its ok.
putting my sim in my jamin isn't ok!

Hi Guys,

Just a quick note to say that I have a similar problem with my new Orange SIM.

All the GPRS works fine, calls send & receive OK, .. I get "The phone is not ready. Wait 15 Seconds and try again" cannot send txt, donot receive the voice mail notification.
i unlocked my mda vario with lockiwiz03.
can this RADIO UPDATE WILL HELP?

I have the same problem that you, but it happens sometimes.
My radio version is 02.69.21
rom v: 4.0.0.0 wwe
rom date: 2.02.07
protocol: 4.1.13.30
ext rom v: 4.0.0.6 pv touch

I sometimes receive text messages and sometimes not. And when I try to send, it happens the same.

Some idea about how to fix it?

it should not work in your prohet, but since you have problems in the orginal one, maybe it will work, and maybe if you install this one and restore 2.69.21 hope will check

I have some doubts about this new radio (sorry, I am a beginner about this stuff)

First of all, if it doesn´t work for prohet, what is the aim of install it?? If I do it, can it damage my pda??? would It be better to install a previous version that works with this model?

Anyway, I previously updated my pda with rom version 4.0.0.0 WWE, and I got that problem. My radio version was: 2.19.21.

I updated again with 4.0.0.0.6 PV- CROSS, and later the radio: 2.69.21

So, I m not very sure about the effect of Radio 2.97.90.

Just upgraded radio to resolve wait 15 seconds problem and no SMS which are both now OK, but, the battery indicator on the phone has gone faulty. Battery power remaining indicator has gone and the orange LED does not come on when the mains AC charger is plugged in. Is there a fix?

Hmm seems to be that the device is charging but none of the power management functions work either e.g. the XDA is always on unless I switch it off. Is there an exe file to run perhaps?
