How to connect to wired broadband?

Apologies - I asked this a couple of years ago without a solution - but I'd sure be grateful if anyone has ideas.

I'm going to parts of south east asia in a couple of weeks where I read there are lots of hotels with wired broadband, but few/none with wireless. How can I connect my XDA IIs to wired broadband?

Maybe the answer is to carry a Netgear WGR614 v6 wireless router (which I have) but it seems a bit a-about-f.

Or maybe I should buy a used Libretto or Journado or similar.

last year i went on a trip driving and took my wifi router and a year before i bought a used ipaq 3885 and had the sleve with a compact flash to ethernet connetion. both ways are good but it depends on if you want to carry a router or another ppc
