yeah im running it. you use the wizard base rom and replace wavedev.dll and battdrvr.dll with ones from the prophet rom to get the sound and battery working. install arcsoft to restore mms. no camera support though. looking into it.

one of the big errors though is that coming out of sleep soft resets it, so doesnt make it very practical!!
edit: apparently the battery needs to get used to wm6 and the soft reseting stops after a few days, mine now has :)

I'm looking forward to flash my Charmer (MDAcII) to WM6, but I won't try to mess up my phone with some beta rom.

BTW: Any ideas if WLAN will work under WM6? According to 'some' posts here in the forum, WM5 + WLAN on Charmer = Not working properly. :-/

everythings beta, there will never be a official wm6 final as htc will only develop wm6 for new models. as for the wlan stuff, wm5 wasnt the problem it was the drivers written for it by the wifi card maker.

imo wm6 isnt worth it, its not finished, big problem with standby, the camera doesnt work, mms isnt included as standard. it just looks pretty, and that can be done on a wm5 device anyway.

I asked T-mobile UK about their plans to offer updates to WM6, I got the following reply:

At present I cant give a definite answer to your question as WM6 has not been released yet however historically this is not normally possible (it's a new operating system so Microsoft are not likely to offer free upgrades to it)
When WM6 is released and we have devices running it I would be able to give you a definite yes or no answer to this question.

It is possible. Someone must modified rom from another machine. For example, we have in czech republic a man, which modified rom for this machine

used this rom just now. i don't like it. the most serious issue is, that it does not contain czech regional settings (currency, time format, day names etc.) and maybe some others.
The second thing i hate - this rom has built-in junk i don't want to have there (gb-soft tweak, new menu for wm5, stupid htc task manager, some sort of driver fot BT audio)
flashing back old aku 2.0 rom...

update: mentioned rom is COMPLETELY filled with useless junk (realplayer, pocker rar, opera, omapclock, minesweeper, gs finder and much, much more files inside windows directory)

it seems to be a probelm with this rom and exe files - through no file explorer, i cannot run them manualy

to helmi: speed looks nice. will you make some "clean" version? I really want to know WHAT is inside my device and WHERE is it stored. making debranded roms filled with branded junk inside makes no sense, I think.

If this junk is in the EXTMEM it's quite easy to remove.

Hope Helmi will be so pleasant to release "empty" rom (or place included soft inside extrom instead directly into system). Speed and stability seems to be realy fine (even with the aditional software)...

Download speed from pdamobiz is really horrible, you are lucky if you got 0.7kB/sec. I was downloading this file for more than 14 hours and with about 350 resumes...little miracle that file integrity is OK.

The Problem is: I have change the ROM of my german T-Mobile MDA Compact II from the "Charmer 2060228 GER" to the "RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_QtekWWE_Shi p" and how can i now overwrite this one with "RUU_Charmer_2060227_20602110_021921_T-MobileUK_Ship" (or any other Charmer series)? When i start to change the ROM, it is loading about 1% and the mistake is about "nk.nbf" file. Is there any body know, how to solve this problem?

I have downloaded the Xplore wizard wm6 ROM and replaced the two dlls mentioned at the beginning with those from the PDAMobiz prophet wm6 rom. The problem is when I update the rom on my charmer, it always freezes at 94%, and I get a communication error from the rom update utility. What causes this? How can I stop it from doing this?!
