First, I'd like to thank all of the people on this forum, as without the forum itself I wouldn't be able to do anything ;)
I've had my G4 Wizard for less than a month, and it's already unlocked and flashed. To all of the people who don't know how to flash I can only tell: Read! And use the search. Most of the problems have been answered hundreds of times on this forum.
I did a lot of reading before first flashing my device, and all went perfectly, from the beginning to the end.
Anyway, when I found out that my Wizard is actually a G4, I was dissapointed that there is really not a lot of info about it in here.. Especially about how to flash it (I know it's not that hard, but for those ones that don't know, the first time is terrifying :P ) I am going to try to make one, but if there are any mistakes, tell me please ;)
First, I'd like to note that this is only a "tutorial" based on my personal experience. Although I didn't have any problems flashing my device, I do not take any responsibility for your actions!
Next, and this is important.. Make sure that you REALLY HAVE A G4 DEVICE and not a G3!!! Think before flashing, otherwise you can brick your device! A G4 Wizard will report an IPL and SPL similar to 2.21.0001 and a G3 PDA will report something similar to 2.21 or 2.21.001 (notice the number of 0's at the end!)
And don't forget, these actions WILL ERASE ALL OF THE INFO from your phone, so BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP! You have been warned :)
Some other notes:
1. Most of the custom Rom's out there will require you to CID-unlock your device (most but not all of them.. See this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=284189) thread for details)
2. Yes, CID-unlocking will void your warranty
3. There is always a chance that you will brick your device, even if you do it right. But this is really unlikely, usually because you tried to use a G3 Rom on a G4 device. Be careful!
4. At the moment of writing, the only way to CID-unlock your device is via http://www.imei-check.co.uk/
5. Please don't Rush yourself! Think first, read the whole post. Remember, this is not a self-contained guide! Look through the forum to be sure that you're ready, and that you really want to do this!
And last, but not least! Please do not use your PC for the time you're Upgrading! Close all of the running applications, and wait until it will finish! Don't repeat other's mistakes.

Now, if you still want to do it, you can continuse with the steps:
0. Be sure to backup all data on your phone, close all the apps on your PC, charged your phone to a minimum of 50%!!!
1. Download the Rom you want to 'flash'. Remember, you need a G4 Rom!!! Look here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=284189) or here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289469) for example.. I'm using the WM5 AKU 3.3 Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=290155) from this forum..
Extract it on your Harddrive. Don't run it directly from WinRar or any other archiving program you're using!
2. Open your ActiveSync without your phone connected! and select File -> Delete Mobile Device. After that connect your phone, and press cancel in the window that appears. Be sure that in ActiveSync you have a "Guest" line in gray!
3. If you did everything that have been said, then you're ready to flash.. Run the RUU. Usually it's a file called "ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe". If your update utility is not in English, you can download the English files, and overwrite the ones you have (The english files is NOT a rom! You have to download a Rom first!). If you get a message like:
ERROR[300]: INVALID UPDATE TOOL
This Update Utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please get newer Update Utility then download the new Update Utility. Both can be found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=291215).
4. After several "Next" clicks, your phone WILL restart. Don't disconnect it, just leave it. It will load into the bootloader (A screen with 3 colors, you'll know when you get to it), after that it will start flashing. You will see the progress bar on both your PC and PDA. Give it a LOT of time. It can flash your phone from as little as several minutes (Guess I vas lucky ;) ) up to 10 and more minutes. Sometime, the progress bar will turn red and stop. DON'T TOUCH IT, it's not an error. It has to set up itself, so it's OK!
In case you get ann error while flashing, or your computer restarts while flashing, don't panic (for now). If your phone enters the bootloader after that (hopefully) than just run the utility again on the PC (with the phone in the bootloader) and it will start again. If the situation repeats try another ROM.
If you still have issues, uninstall ActiveSync. REBOOT! Download and install ActiveSync 4.2 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7269173A-28BF-4CAC-A682-58D3233EFB4C&displaylang=en) Don't create a partnership.
You should be OK after these steps.
Some last words..
I may have used some words or expressions from other's people posts (mainly from this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285435) post) This was done just to be sure that I don't miss anything, and all I've said is as close to the truth as possible.. Thanks to the owners of this site, and all the people who helped it it's developement!
Enjoy!
