View Full Version : Can I install Molski's G4 ROM on a CID-locked G4 8125?

I seem to be reading two different accounts whether or not this will install safely on my phone:

I've asked in that thread, but its pretty much dead so I've gotten no response.

In a word NO. The rom structure is such that the bootloader knows its not correct and will not flash the OS part. Only CID unlocked devices will flash it.

im using molskis g4 rom and i had a cid locked g4 tmobile vario.

installed perfectly and have had no issues with it

Im also using Molskis rom, but i flashed with wizard_love first to upgrade the rom to aku2.3 then reflashed using molskis to get all the customisations. You will not get the programs tho on an CID locked G4, as i didnt get them on my CID locked G4 either. Other wise, Molskis build is very stable and quick.
