For those who don't frequent the other forums: Breeze seems to share at least parts of the same GPS-capable hardware like Trinity and Hermes. With Trinity's GPS-enabled radio-ROM we can get an output of raw GPS data (although no usuable, complete data) that at least indicates that there is *something* going on inside Breeze... For the whole story see this thread over at the Hermes Upgrading-Forum:

But I should as well confirm that that something seems to operate w/o antenna (or maybe metal case shield signal pretty good) 'cause after trying to get fix during half an hour (laying on windowsill) it hardly could see ("see", not "use") one or two sattelites. Yes, of course windowsill is not ideal place for testing gps but trinity laying 5cm nearby have got the fix in couple of minutes seeng 11 sattelites and using 4.

Just found out that there is a brand new ROM for P3600 that enabled the internal GPS receiver (as mentioned on www.qtek.fi). HTC sites still say nothing about this.

Could someone perhaps extract the GPS portion of the ROM and put it in Breeze? :)

unfortunately this is likely to be the same as the recent findings in the hermes, which the chip is hardware wired to not accept antennae and the satellites you see are noise... unless they match those of the trinity...
