G4 Roms and extended Roms questions

Hi xda members,

This is my first post but with many questions ... :)

I've a G4 Qtek 9100 (provided by french mob. op. SFR) with the following config :

SPL/IPL : 2.17.0001
Radio : 02.07.10
OS : 2.17.7.6 (ROM 2.17.7.6 FRE / Ext ROM 2.17.7.8030)
Rom date : 2/21/06
Protocol : 413.1.03

I've SIM-unlocked this G4 with lokiwiz03a to use it with Orange in France.

Now first step I would like to remove all SFR config and load the french Orange one -> to do that do I need to remove averything in the current ext rom (with TC for instance) and replace it by the following ext rom "ext ROM OrangeSPV M3000 -1.3.1.105-FRA" ?

However I read that first I need to unlock the ext ROM, how can I do that, do I need a special tool ?

Second step I will probably change the ROM with the following one "RUU_Prodigy_2170706_21707106_20710_QTEK_FRA_Ship" after having CID unlocked my G4 using imei-check.co.uk. However will I need to reload the Orange ext ROM ?

I had a question and since someone 'hijacked' this thread, i thought I'd do t the same :D

I have a TMO g4 MDA. Now am I correct in that any roms I do load will not get the ext_rom? Just the tmo ext?

Seems that somehow the Tmo ext rom is there even after I add my own or molski's or anyone elses rom.

Any info would greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
