Hi. Here is some back ground info. While i was working for HP i was given an iPAQ 3970 (this was about 3 years ago). After a while, it become a bit slow, so my friend decided to flash the firmware to PPC 2003 Rom version 3. I am prity sure he did not use an offical copy. At the time i remember Blue Tooth not work, but did not bother me as i did not use it. I used this ipaq for about a year, and the last 2 years it been setting under the bed. I have now decided that i want to use. First thing i wantted to do was get blue tooth working.
I have found out that there is a common problem with BT, so i got the drivers from the net, no luck, came up with an error (its almost like it does not think its an iPAQ 3970)
So i redownloaded from a few sites, still no joy.
So i thought i would flash it back down to PPC 2002 - aparently you are unabel to do this (which i dont belive) but i could not flash it.
I then thought about getting a proper copy of 2003 - can not seem to find one for love the money.
After during loads of research on the net, i want to know if these are possible
Find some one who has got PPC backup file of 2002 and restore it from that - am i thrn able to change serial number etc
Am i able to fource the flash in engineer mode, and us mtty. Also where do you get mtty from.
Am i able to buy a new flash rom and install ppc2002 on that.
As i have said i have been on the net for days looking into this, and found varoius buit and bobs, but nothing that has fixed.
Does anyone know where i can get mtty and a user guide for mtty from
