Solution found: use battery status (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=270751). In its last builds it has an option to enable A2DP directly by pressing BT tray icon :)
---------------------------------------------------

Hi mates,

Does everybody has the same problem with BT profiles ?
It goes well from stereo (listening music) to headset (calling) profile, when a call is incoming. But when the call is ended, or if you disabled bluetooth meanwhile (or turned off the headset), you must go to BT options, devices, then tap 'n hold the headset and set it as wireless stereo. Quite a long operation for a simple task, I had in mind that someone could write a cmd-line app which would do this ?

I had once a rom/a2dp patch/reg values combination that worked well with calls ending -> music goes on. But thus it didn't automatically connect the headset (as wireless stereo) on first start. Maybe this is by design, to avoid cutting off the sound coming out from the pda each time you activate BT, but it's annoying to me ;)

So..... Am I the only one ?

Niko

ps: Vijay's VJVolubilis (http://www.vijay555.com/?Releases:VJVolubilis) almost do this, but only for headset profile AFAIK

No, the 'not-returning a2dp club' is full of people... you can be the mr. president if you want...

 I had the same problem. I returned my BT stereo headset because of the same problems. I'm done with A2DP.

FYI, I asked a few authors to check if they can do something about this.
So you may follow the development of those apps if you're interested in a one-click A2DP Stereo connection : AEBPlus, Battery Status and VJVolubilis.
I'll try to post again when something new is coming.

Ah... have any of you guys tried the later A2DP patches?

And why not just use the bluetooth button to reconnect wireless stereo?

I don't have any hardware button, nor any icon (except the one from battery status) associated to bluetooth. Would you please detail what you were talking about ? If it's an icon, could you try to extract the corresponding exe ?

I tried many A2DP patches, not sure if they are the latests or not, but none provided automatic stereo reconnection, at least when I just turned my headset (or bluetooth) on. Since I do that often....

I mean the button on your bluetooth headset. Click it once to connect; sometimes it needs another click to activate wireless stereo. I know not every headset supports this, but an A2DP headset should.

You might have to set wireless stereo once from the device, but after that, the headset should activate using its button the next time.

Resume problem should be fixed with the AKU3+ A2DP patches. Again, YMMV.

Note: Sorry for the double-post... site's really slow.

I mean the button on your bluetooth headset

It doesn't have one..... it automatically connect, but in headset mode (phone), not stereo :(
I'll try to test with another one in a shop.

Sorry but.... YMMV ? ^^
Didn't try AKU3.x yet, have you hear good reports from prophet users ? I haven't at that time..
I'll give it a try (or WM6) when my device will be back from warranty :)

See comment #26. Certainly not conclusive based on one report. I've never encountered the problem, so....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=284344&page=3

It doesn't have a button? How does it answer phone calls then? Or the button pops up the phone app on the first press instead of just connecting?

The main button can answer calls, or end a current call.
Its second ability is to turn on/off the headset :p

I have AVRCP buttons for next/prev music operation, and one of them can dial the last number when pressed for a long time.

I guess I can also reject a call, can't remember how, but the connection thing is supposed to be automatic (Already tried to press buttons to check if it would (re)connect...)
Since it's kind of noname headset (CallStell), I won't even try to request help from them ^^

hum, that's it :)

ps: What does YMMV stands for ?
I'll give a try to that new patch. Interesting thread btw ! Can't read it completely by now, can I try that patch if I'm still on AKU2.x rom ?

Hmmm... my guess is that the power button or the call answer button should (re-) connect the headset once you have done it once manually ("set as wireless stereo"). Or maybe not.

There are two versions on that thread - one is from AKU 3.3, the other is from WM6. Not much difference between the two, but they are both better than the older Tornado patch in terms of compatibility, IMHO. Either can be used for any version of Prophet AKU 2.0 and up.

Oh, YMMV - your mileage may vary.

meykou, just go through this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=284344

Makes a lot more sense if you read it from the beginning. Hard to explain otherwise.

I once tried many A2DP patches/few rom versions and player combinations.
I got different results, few were very poor, most of 'em was pretty nice.
But it always missed at least 1 thing ^^
Either the sound quality, the resume-after-call or the sound-drop shit ^^
But I'm not sure anymore if I managed to get rid of the latter at least once.. but it was not that bad, one sound drop every 2 songs, for 1 or 2s., or so... still anoying, but usable.
Oh, and what I first wanted to say, I tried to reconnect via the main button, but no results. I should try with another headset, btw. What's yours ? And would you advise me to buy it ?

Oh, ok :p
I downloaded both of them, and will give a new try to every combination I can figure out as soon as I have more time.
Thanks for your answers btw. I'll keep posting if a software solution is found.

And I'm quite sure that meykou only wants a working-one-click-install WM6 rom :D

Well, good luck. I'm using the i.Tech R35, BTW.

Wow! It works.
It took time for me to realise that it resumes music after a little pouse.
I need to push button only once to cancel the phone call.
