Phonepad files- difference?

i found 2 files on the ftp:
1) ftp://xda:xda@ftp.xda-developers.com/Wizard/Misc/PhonePad.zip 113kb

2) ftp://xda:xda@ftp.xda-developers.com/Hermes/Tools_and_Programs/Phone%20Pad%20-%20English%20Only.CAB 953kb


what is the difference? why is there such a vast diference in the filse size?

I was very interested in these, and one other that I found on searching:

because after installing WM6 Crossbow Most Beautiful ROM on my 8125 Wizard I no longer had the T9 phonepad, which I do use occasionally, along with Resco Keyboard, my everyday workhorse.

Well, I tried them both the files above - the first one didn't work for me - seemed to install - I soft-reset - "Phone Pad" showed as an item in the pop-up menu, but clicking on it produced just the ugly old standard keyboard.

The second one installed fine, and after soft reset - it pops up and works fine, and in the installed programs menu it is listed as "HTC Phone Pad - English" - so it seems to be the real deal - looks and acts just like the Phone Pad that I had standard in all my other ROM's (but never thought to copy it out!).

I think I'm going to start saving a complete image of all the files in each ROM I try out, just in case they might prove individually useful later.
