1 Phase in Streaming Player.
2 Phase in HSDPA icon.
3 Fix to ITS #1778 When enabling FDN, only 4 digits can be entered in the PIN2 box. PIN2 should allow up to 8 digits .
4 Fix to Voda sim voice mail missing notification issue. Double check solution is in codebase.
5 Set prefer data call to 3G

New ROM is working fine. Just loaded it this morning. Hopfully the battery will last a bit longer now. I still went ahead and tweaked the display timeout as I've done in the past. This seems to help. I notice that it displays "Test ROM" during boot. Not that it's a biggie but thought I mention it. The EDGE icon still doesn't display as "E". Bummer. I really had hoped this was fixed but sadly no. Overall the ROM seems stable. It did go through the Cold Boot twice. For some reason after it booted the first time it must have had a problem cause on the second boot it did it again. No problems since and all of my apps are running as they should.

Both of them also lost the rubber thingy on the joystick. I sent the first one in for repair on that one, and got it back completely crushed because they had sent it in really bad packaging (basically an envelope with minimal padding)...

After the new firmware i still got my prob with the phone.
It cuts the calls or the no one can call me, comes to my answering matchine.

This morning i got a call and after a few sec it hangs up.
I can still hear the person on the other side for a sec or two, but he cant her me and then it hangs up.

And the push-function dosent work du to it cant use the gprs, but it say that its online.
So cant surf then ether, shut the phone off and on and it works again.

Its abit frustrating, my other mteor works fine, this one is a co-worker's that he wanted me to try to se if i got the same problem as him.
So i guess its some thing wrong with it.

Any one got a clue what it can be?

I also hav "shot of" the 3G and only use 2G net.
Will not try to have it one Auto and se if it have the same crap prob.

I'm in Stockholm now, and don't seem to have the problem as often...

Back home I use NetCom, and here I'm roaming on the Telia network.

I think it's maybe because I "reset" the rado by switching to flight mode and back a cuple of times a day. I'm really quite dependent on the phone these days and can't afford a missed call.

Time to get a SE phone, and ship this p.o.s. off to the shop.

Royan: have you been in contact with HTC support? What did they tell you? For me 1st thing they told me to was to download the ROM from www.hughsymonstelecom.co.uk (no change). Then to try a sim-card from a different network (it's on its way, I'll try but dont have much hope). I'm going to push them as much as I can on this one. When you contact them over the phone, at least they apprear helpfull and polite.
If you have a call id with HTC, would you mind sending a PM with it? The more people I can show have the same problem, the higher the chance of them actually trying to fix it.
I also have wished from time to time that I had bought a phone from a company that knows how to make a phone work as a phone...

I've tried the ROM at www.hughsymonstelecom.co.uk (ver 1.16...), and it's the only time I've had the phone drop the connection while in a gprs data call...

I called HTC support on the phone once, they just gave me the number for a "local" repair shop, very helpful...

I've had a couple of mail conversations with what feels like about 15 people.
They've basically told me that I have a corrupt ROM on the phone. They don't seem to catch that I by now am on my fourth ROM. I mean... come on... all the ROMs can't be corrupt...

I have tried to tell them that it's more than just my phone that have this problem. I've even pinpointed forum posts for them, but it just blows right past them...

I haven't tried a different network SIM, as it's a company subscription that I can't change. However, I've had the same problem while roaming on several networks in Spain, Holland and Sweden.

Nah... I'm getting sick of HTC phones. This is my second, and I just got it as a replacement for my first HTC phone... I'm going back to a more reliable vendor...

Just wanted to add these informations:

This rom does indeed include radio bootloader 1.0108. And of course because it has SPL 1.07 the rtask-command is not available any more.

With flashing back to my original Orange rom - which didn't overwrite the new radio rom 1.29.00.10 - I got back SPL 2.05 (including the rtask-command), so I was able to test the GPS-commands. But contrary to the list of news from page 1 the GPS-commands are not included in this radio rom (as could have been guessed because of the version number ending with .10).

So anyway, I'm stuck with the 0108-radio bootloader now :/ so I can't get the GPS-enabled radio rom back (well, as long as des didn't finish the Breeze-version of his SSPL, which hopefully won't take long any more...).

To me, the best feature of the new ROM is the replacement of the "Wireless Modem" application with a much cleaner, simpler application called Internet Sharing.

This feature is very similar to the "Internet Connection Sharing" feature on any Windows PC, which means that you simply need to put the phone in that mode and your PC will route IP packets out through it directly. No more messing around with setting up GPRS modems (or hunting for the missing CD) on your PC - it all just works.

Hello!

I have installed this ROM (which works very good, the only strange thing is the 'test rom' message during boot).

I have Vista Ultimate and Office 2007.
I also have installed the new sync software from microsoft, for Vista.

It connects when I plug in, I can browse the files on my smartphone, but I get an error message when I press the Sync button. It says "synchronisation error" and "synchronisation failed".

Anyone else had this problem, and/or does anyone know the solution?

I failed to application unlock the device. I have used the following methods:
(1) manually tweak the registries
(2) using Tweaks2k2
(3) using SmartTweak
(4) using a desktop software (SDA_Application Unlock)

Has anyone managed to application unlock this ROM?

I have not tested too much, but so far, it seems like my mteor runs cooler and use less battery than before.

Part of the reason might be that it seems like it might have started to disconnect itself automatically from the 3G network after some idle time, which it did not do before (I need more testing to confirm this for sure however).

I agree with another person posting here. The internet sharing thingy is really cool.

The negative side... I have had two hangs with this FW. One while making a call, one when answering a call.

In both cases I have had to take out the battery to get going again (the phone would not turn itself off using the power button). I have never had a hang with the previous FW, so I am reasonably sure there is some potential problems with this FW.

It also seems to update the "last sync time" for PC when it synchronizes with exchange over 3G, which it did not do before

In my case, this directory is empty.
Has the file been moved to another location ?
Or is there another reason i cannot see the file?
