my prophet g4 device accidently flashed with 2.21 of wizard............
it was dead but now alive !!!!!!

cut of charger 2 wires inside. the + one (white) to pin1 of battery and the other wire to lowest pin 5. of the high voltage ur device will enter bootloader and stay in it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

connect usb cable and it will recognized =))))))))))))))

u can flash now to your earlier rom. in my case wwe 2.20 qtek rom with success. NOW device booting up again showing 2.21.0001 IPL AND SPL
but its working =))))))))))))

maybe you can repair your bootloader now.
I have an idea of how you could do it with g3.
Is your cid locked?
Is your phone g3 or g4?

UPDATED NOW NEW TESTS DONE. IPL SPL = 2.21
if i use prophet roms now everything is slow on device not usuable. i have to use wizard roms LOL. only problem then no sound is working. but replacing dll from prophet gives u sound back again. ........ THIS IS FUCKING BULLSHIT. anyway its usuable again now. i flashed now the fucing pbootloader of wizard into my device..........................

Hardreset does not work anymore if holding camera and other button it goes again back to bootloader now i need to find out how u do a hard reset on wizard LOL.

anyway i need a IPL AND SPL From prophet ............... extracting ipl and spl from qtek prophet and traslating it making a new nbf results in a flash process but after i stays on old IPL SPL ....................... ill report soon more about this strage problem having a wizard bootloader on Prophet.

that that works is really strange^^ thank you though again you rescued my device hope its gonna work for me I'll report in the next days...

so if I'm doing thats right the whole thing is working, while you are connecting the wires get don't plug the wall chargare in so you don't have elictricity and cover up the rest of the pins im not sure if thats necessary but you don't wanna brick your phone even more the phone is turning of though as soon as you disconnect the wires... i'm having a prophet rom on it right now i'm trying a wizard rom now...

alright im running the wizard aku 3.2 rom now. its working very well except that i have to wires coming out of the back of my pda.
but ipl downgrade might be possible from there... so thank ýou alot the solution works

UPDATE: IM NOW ON 2.26 TMOBILE WIZARD NOW WITH IPL AND SPL 2.26 THIS IS WORKING FUCKING GOOD AND TRUST ME ITS FASTER THAN MY PROPHET WAS EARLIER WITH PROPHET BOOTLOADER.

GET THE TMO 2.26 from FTP and flash it. it will update ur device (IPL + SPL )too 2.26 never mind of it

IPL DOWNGRADE is NO PROBLEM FOR ME u can extract rom hex edit the ipl part and version number i did that already my ipl now is again to low number (custom) 2.01 but spl i coudnt find out to edit. im working with winhex and primary memory editing since this is very dangerous i dont suggest to do it. only experienced users should do that

NO need to i will explain in detail.
1. Take ur phone and put it on ur table =)
2. Turn it so u can see the camera
3. On the right u see 6 Pins.
4. The Pin 1 is nearest to Camera
5. Pin 5 would be far away from camera.

it worked for me with the sixth pin to by the way but that might be why it doesn't work without the wires for me yet.

did you cover up the other pins alphazero?

you were able to flash a lower bootloader back onto the device right with some kind of hexedit application or something?

I think a lot of users would be glad if you could upload a rom that can downgrade the ipl and spl including me , as you said it requires a lot of skill to cook the right rom...

i found out that the update rom process checks version id.

so theory is fooling of a lower rom a higher rom id. this means your downgrade rom will have a higher rom id.

im working on it right now. i have to do some test on university right now like many others please be patient.

uhm no the battery pins was because our device did only turn on if it was plugged into the charger, which meant you couldn't plug it into the usb at the same time to flash a new rom.

your problem is different and can't be solved with that solution... sorry sd goldcard i guess

The problem that we had was that it wouldn't turn on unless its plugged into the charger. Your phone is turning on while you are connected through mini usb right? You need a totally different solution for your problem, if you need one, it seems to me, that as you say, you can flash roms into your device...

Just take a g4 rom for prophet and bang it in

you do that as usually:

start your phone, press reset and camera button and hold camera button until you are in bootloader mode (colors but i think you know how to do that)

then you take any rom which is made for g4 for example jesterz g4 rom and flash the rom...just start the exe, what you can't do is flashing the roms which have an ugraderom.bat because they need an active sync connection. Just try an exe.

how did you get the tmobile 2.26 flashed... was that something with hex editing, too? I get alwas the message that my vendor id is wrong and the version of the no vendor id update utility is too old...

just download a few costum wizard roms there is a wizardnovendor it utility wich i used to flash my prophet.

My really problem is that i flashed my g3 by mistake with jeesterz g4 rom so now when i flash it its gets to the end of process and says congratulation and bla bla but stays always in bootloader mode does not starts. Do you mean that i could try with wizzard"s rom for my prophet g3 whick now has spl as g4?

If i understand correctly, mjankovic's problem is that he flashed a G3 with a G4 firmware (?) and now the PDA just stops at the bootloader, so he needs to downgrade.
I really think that alphazero's method should work since it would allow him to flash the proper firmware, right?

alright here's what alphazeros method is about:

we had the problem that without anything plugged in our device would just flash on for one seconds.
same with the usb cable plugged in. It would stay in bootloader mode though if we connected it to the charger.

now if you connect the charger directly to the battery pins you can have the charger "plugged in" and the usb cable at the same time which allowed us to flash a new rom ...

Yes binary_mind is right i flashed my g3 with g4 and i can not start my prophet it stays in bootloader mode after restart so i can start flashing and i need right software to downgrade with. So please could you upload software to downgrade or tell where can i find to download.

Okay, I get it to works, for people like , you need to do the following :

remove the battery,
connet + to pin 1
Connect - ton pin 5

plug your mini-usb cable to your pc and flash.

I have some new experiences in this case. After I was very frustrated I finally got the Cid unlock from imei check. The Prophet unlock didn't work so they send me a wizard unlock file which worked. That one did it and I was able to flash back on ipl/spl 2.09.

What is very unfortunate to me that the problem that prophet roms are very slow still exists. So Prophet Roms are very slowly and wizard roms are very fast and stable but battery with them doesn't work for me...

maybe somebody knows something about that, aku 3.0 seems to run a little bit faster than the 2.xx roms...

my guess is that there is something flashed that is even lower level than ipl and spl... possible?

I made a mistake and installed a KJAM Custom ROM to ma Prophet...it ended up that the Prophet could not start (Black Screen only) and I can not lof to the bootloader.

from what I read in this thread is that the wires case could be helpful to enter the bootloader (coz I can not even start it manually) and start installing the right ROM....

am I right?

Please advise if SPL on G3 prophet/JAMin can be flashed. I have a problem with my PDA. It only goes into BOOTLOADER mode and shows the following:
IPL 1.0
SPL 2.13.0001 :confused:
The device is G3 and wrongly flashed with G4 rom (IPL and SPL Mixed!)
Tried flashing with different roms but nothing happens. Some roms continue and finish successfully, some stop with errors, but it always goes into bootloader mode showng the above IPL and SPL.
SD card flashing is not possible "Write not allowed".:confused:

alright here's what alphazeros method is about:

now if you connect the charger directly to the battery pins you can have the charger "plugged in" and the usb cable at the same time which allowed us to flash a new rom ...


i've flashed my G3 prohpet with wizard G3 3.08 radio rom, without noticing it is for wizard (i saw G3 and just did it),
the same thing goes w my device: while on charger, i can enter bootloader screen but without the usual USB letters, only IPL & SPL, and the USB interface on the device is for sure occupied with the charger
when i connect it to my computer through the data usb cable, it keeps flashing and never enter the bootloader, i've tried everything: covering the battery pins and connect the charger 2 wires to port 1 & 5, but nothing, connecting the charger again to ports 1 & 6 also nothing, it give me a white screen with nothing on it,

any further suggestions please..

after several tries, it worked fine, and my G3 Prophet came back to life, after I flash it mistakenly with Wizard G3 IPL/SPL rom. (i didn't notice the top of the page that says Wizard, the guy should mentioned that it is for Wizard G3, not just G3)

@aldiersa: you've got Prophet G3 and no G4 related thing is neccessary with you. Just follow instruction to upgrade to WM6 with G3 procedure.

I flashed the wrong rom of wizard so it doesnt even now start in the Bootloader mode . It doesnt connect to the PC either if I plug it into the pc . I screwed up big time I guess.

Hi all, I have a cid-locked G4 bricked prophet wich I managed to flash wizard bootloader ipl/spl v3.08.0001

Does anyone have a clue how to flash a working rom to it?

I tried both wizard and prophet roms but no success cause it fails to flash stopping at 95%.

I think this could help a lot of people besides me.

maybe with imei-check.co.uk I could unlock it even with wizard bootloader?
