Email on 3 network

I'm trying to use my Exec on the 3 network to check my email. I was able to do this perfectly well on the o2 network and can still use WLAN without a problem, but when dialing up on 3 it just times out when trying to connect to the mail server.

Is there any reason why it should be different on 3 and does anyone know how I can cure it?
