Solarport 4.4

I bought a solar charger that has a usb connection so I hope it can charge my PDA. The unit is from http://www.brunton.com/product.php?id=280
I tried charging AAA/AA batteries and it worked but when it comes to JasJar, the charging did not work. Also my O2 mini did not charge eventhough the charging indicator lighted up.

Any idea why is this? Anyone has the same problem. I read from some website that this unit is cable of charging an IPAQ pda.

I have a solar charger too although a different type... I bought it more for novelty reasons than anything.... :)

I found that since the sun isnt too strong in the UK it would only charge when the screen was closed, otherwise the battery usage from the screen was more than then charging rate.

I think this will probably come in handy one day when im back in Sydney on my boat on a nice hot sunny day....

So in essence it is charging but close/turn off your screen and be patient...
