as everyone must be fully aware by now. backpack + wm5 == :-(

the backpack battery and monitor works
the vga works with clearvue installed (i have not tested can someone confirm this is not an issue)
the compactflash DOES NOT work

according to legend rizal an rictec have fully working backpacks including the cf slot.

i would love one of you guys to post an image of a compact flash device in use.

my avenue of thought is that the bootloader version is to blame for the troubles (maybe a memory mapping?).
but without some stats its currently little more than a thought.

could everyone with a backpack that has tried wm5 please post:

board revision (find under setting...system...device info...identity...model number it will either be PH10A or PH10B )

bootloader version (place device in bootloader mode by holding power + DPad + reset hole (NOTE to non-wm5 users this is a hard reset all data will be lost....wm5 users u will lose ramdisk storage) the screen will display the word 'serial' or 'usb' and a version number below it eg v1.03)

whether your cf socket is working

rictec and rizal you are the only 2 sucesses i have heard of please do post

tim
