View Full Version : Unlock CID and upgrade firmware

Dear experts:
I've downloaded GSM122patched_unsigned.zip and RUU_Trinity_CHT_1.20.751.2_1.20.751.104_6275_1.24. 00.11_Ship.exe and tried to upgrade the firmware myself.
First of all, I have no idea how to use GSM122patched_unsigned.zip to unlock my CID (0 means SuperCID?), hence I failed to upgrade the firmware due to invalid vendor ID.
I've tried to understand the other threads which were aimed to tackle this, but I don't have enough knowledge to follow the guides.
Any help will be much appreciated.
cheers

I'm afraid for those of us whose kung-fu is not strong enough, the best answer right now is $40 USD and:

Good Luck!

Cool! Really awaiting the solution, and you'll get a LOT of good press too (just got a Trinity myself :) )!

Hello Menny :)
Now that you got it, I'll wait for your impressions before buying one. :D

for future developement ....
if possible it would be very helpful to get a CID unlock solution with a special feature to restore the original CID. And perhaps for all that have already unlocked their device something to write cusom characters (original CID) as new CID.
Dont be angry about my suggestions - i know its hard enough to develope a solution for CID unlocking only - but anyway CID restore seems to be helpful in warranty issues.

So far, pretty good; I only wish there was a free (!) CID unlocker and a better GPS-enabled ROM. Will check the A2DP issues on Monday.

As we see in this thread a free CID unlocker probably comes out soon (maybe in a week or so) and the GPS ROM is still test ROM (by the end of the month we'll surely have more and maybe from other providers too).
(for the rest I'll PM you since it goes off-topic)

Des's SSPL doesn't seem to modify CID permanently.
