I bought a, supposedly, unlocked HTC P3300 Premium Phone in the UK.
The problem I have is that the phone won't recognise any O2 SIMs, I've tried 4 different O2 SIMS and none of them work, it just continuously searches for a network.

I've tried the phone with a T-mobile and a Vodaphone SIM, and both of these work perfectly.

I was led to believe that the HTC version of this phone was fully unlocked. Does anyone know if this is the case? Has anyone else had this issue? Do you think it is possible to resolve this? If I use one of the many unlocking companies, will this work?

ROM = 1.12.405.1 WWE
ROM date = 9/12/06
Radio = 02.56.90
Protocol = 4.1.13.25
ExtRom = 1.12.405.101

I seem to have fallen for the oldest trick in the book. I bought the phone on ebay, and didnt check the IMEI first.........I now have a lovely PDA with GPS, but no phone capability.

I must warn everyone to go here first, and check that the phone hasnt been blacklisted.

it appears that my phone was reported stolen, so the networks have banned the phone. Started with O2, then today when I tried the Vodaphone SIM, not working either.

I'm so angry.......

.............BE WARNED.........

Good for you, i guess its a chance you take. I admit that I was blinded by the whole thing and the excitement of getting this new phone... I wouldn't normally be so careless. I guess you live and learn

Cheers

I emailed and called "the ebayer", he played all innocent, but did offer to give me a full refund. I've just returned from meeting him and I have the full refund in my hand...

Sooooo lucky.

So, for now, back to my JasJar (Exec)
