Why is PPC Backup program running slow?

When I first installed this is backed up all 500+ contacts in less than a minute. Now when I try it it will only do @25 in about 5 minutes. I thought that I had too many programs opened but after closing them all it still does the same. Does the fact that I have it installed on my memory card has something to do with it?

wait how did you fix it? Mine takes almost 45 minutes to backup mine!

I stored it in My Documents Folder on the PPC instead of on the memory card.
