G4 downgrade to G3

Hy everyone...tomorrow i will have a qtek s200...but i don't know if it is G4 or G3...i saw that for G3 exists app for unlock...but for G4 does exist? and if not, can i downgrade the G4 to G3 for unlocking? or does exist another solution? thx a lot...

Firstly what kind of unlock are you talking about. SIM-unlock is possible for G4 and G3. Use Lokiwiz, (search for it)
If you're thinking about CID-unlock, for G4 the only solution is to pay for it. (as far as i know) www.imei-check.co.uk can provide the unlock, but you'll have to pay. Quite a lot, actually.

Downgrading from g4 to g3 is not possible, since it's hardware. That is also the reason you have to be REAL careful. Read a lot before trying to do something you're not sure about. (It's a lesson i learned the hard way.)

ok...I understood what you have said to me...i was talking about operator unlocking...for example, if it is from vodafone spanish, and i want to use it on orange romania, with Lokiwiz I can do it?...cid unlock for what does help?

As far as I understand your link, they provide only SIM/Network unlock, not the CID-unlock. Or may be one schould write them and ask about it?

No... Those guys at imei-check.com have the solution to unlock CID of G4, but you'll have to pay for it...

If people would read the Wiki, all the answer are in there.

as said before, you can't downgrade a G4 to a G3, its hardware.

the .co.uk website, will unlock all both the sim and the CID for both G3 and G4, however you have to pay for it, you can simunlock a G4 for free, info is in the wiki, a free CID unlock for the G4 is not available (yet, people are working on it)

Just to remind one more time, if your SPL version finishes with 0001 IT IS A HARD HEADED G4 and if it finishes with 0000 IT IS A BEAUTIFUL LOVELY G3.

My opinion is that free G4 cid-unlock will never come.

Because G4 is used since several months and if nothing came so far, thus the chances get lower and lower every day (source: a probability theory)!!

I suggest you take the solution mentioned above and pay for it.

ok...but, tell me exactly what does this CID-unlock do? for what i can use it? i just want to change the rom in english...i can't? without that cid-unlock?

alright just a quick check after cid unlock you can flash whatever you want right? even if I just wanted to flash a rom of totally different device it would do it my phone would be bricked afterwards but it would do it right?

I also could downgrade ipl/spl. Does anybody know if the prophet unlocker would work with a wizard bootloader on a prophet?

38 $ is not to much if your phone is bricked I think...^^
