Lock internet connection if i'm in roaming

is it possible?
when i run outlook or pie or opera (and so on...) my internet connection starts without asking anything and this is not a problem because i pay for a flat connection,
but when i'm in roaming (quite often) unfortunately i pay (a lot) for internet, so it would be nice if i could lock (or force my pda to ask me) internet connection while in roaming
is there a way to do this?

Hi,

Start/System/Memory/Running Programs 'Stop All'
Look in Windows/StartUp folder what starts after softreset.
Sofreset is always good!
Also there are settings in the programs you use, disable them.

the problem is not the unwanted connection on startup, but there are several softwares tha i WANT to connect to the internet bub i would like to tell my device not to connect if i'm not on my network operator
ie.: if i leave sype or messenger running but my device goes in roaming i begin to pay (and i don't like this)

Not sure if you can make it ask first for every connect it does, but you can switch of the GPRS/UMTS data connections manually. Might depend on the ROM how easy it is, but I think it can be done from the comm manager.
