I am trying to copy a tomtom 6 map file onto my storage card. Every file in the map folder transfers fine, except the "cline.dat" file.

The PC to phone copy application shows the progress bar of the file being copied over, but after a certain number of blocks on the progress bar, the transfer seems to reset!?

As it resets the progress bar goes back to 0 blocks and then slowly counts up again until the magic number of blocks is reached and then resets again.

Not sure if it's tom tom or the transfer software.

I have tomtom 6.01 (which seems to work fine), am connected via a usb cable to a PC with Activesync installed and tomtom home.

Is it because the cline.dat files are so big? (116mb and 535mb)

Any help much appreciated!

Problem solved.

It was just the progress bar playing up - the files themselves have now copied across.

Although it took over 20 mins for the 500MB file - does that sound right?

Are you using the phone itself to transfer files on to the storage card or an external card reader?

I was told by someone (who was helping me with it in person) that it is better to use an external card reader because there could be problems transfering it though the phone.

I should add that he uses a different model phone than the Artemis family.

it was through the phone. It looked like the progress bar wasnt calculating properly so it kept resetting, which coupled with a slooowww transfer speed meant it looked like the transfer wasnt working, whne in fact it was.
