P3600 screen no response

hopefully they can tell me why my new screen will not power up but the new one will. This is a RMA replacement screen.

Is this problem repairable? I read on another forum that it is a matter of dry solders or expanding components, these can sometimes be repaired with a well placed shiv or some careful reheating.

thinking of buying one of these on ebay with no touchscreen response issue.

After having a close up inspection of where the screen meets the case I noticed a tiny grain of dirt had become lodged between the screen and the case. Once removed the screen worked fine. I can only assume the dirt was causing the screen to feel as if it was permanently being depressed by the dirt and therefore would not respond to other areas.
